“The Dome” PZ RP server places you in the 10th season of the game show called The Dome. This is like your normal gameshow but with a twist- zombies and convicts. Your goal will be to survive in a dense city like landscape encased by enormous walls. There is only one legitimate way out: be crowned victor of the gameshow. This does not eliminate the fact that you may still escape confines of the Dome but be prepared to be tracked and hunted down by “corporate cleaners”.
Loot is set to extremely/insanely rare with firearms being the rarest. Scavenging is not the only way to find loot. A few ways include winning challenge events such as puzzles, riddles, scavenger hunts, mazes and many more. Another way is by entering the “Dark Zone.” The Dark Zone contains the most valued of various loot items, but getting them will be extremely risky. Not only is multi-hit off, we’ve peppered in a few sprinter zombies into the mix. Additionally, since we are a role-play server, dying in the Dark Zone will result in your character’s permanent demise with exception to deaths caused by another player or glitches. I forgot to mention that PVP is enabled during your time in the Dark Zone so it’s important to stay on your toes.
The trait point distribtion has been modified using The Simple Traits & Occupations (SOTO) mod. With permission from the mod author, we have effectively made it near impossible to make a "meta-build" without taking traits such as illiterate or deaf. Popular negative traits such as "smoker" and "conspicuous" give back less points while positive traits have had their cost increased. While we are a role-play server, I have found it inevitable that someone would create a "meta-build" character and taking away from the server's intended high difficulty.
Lastly, if you are not interested in playing as a convict, you may apply to become one of the various employees that keep The Dome running. There are three departments, Security, Media Production (in-game, we are a gameshow after all) and Operations. Each department is responsible for various aspects of The Dome which is explained on the Discord server.
