dropped my backpack full of supplies and it disappeared

I was outside my base and dropped my backpack so that I could pick up extra planks and when I came back to it a few minutes later it was gone

I don't know what to do I looked everywhere

Items do not disappear unless enabled as such on a multiplayer server

Or mods can cause them to disappear

Would either of those apply to your situation?

It should still be there in that case, are you sure you looked through the area where you dropped it?

It may be hiding behind a wall or furniture or such

I dropped it right by a small Grove of trees so I chopped them down but I still couldn't find my backpack

It was at the big Urban Warehouse in the middle of Muldraugh

I dropped it on the small red dot

I recommend looking around there

Since as said, items do not disappear normally
