A traveler walks down a long, drawn out highway. The road under their feet is uneven, warped. The tarmac, once... admittedly not amazingly well-kept, now a shadow even of that. Potholes big enough to trap a wheel, or even an unsuspecting person on a rainy day. Perhaps, hiding one of those shambling corpses that destroyed the world. Fallen trees, stray rocks, the scorch marks of a fire long since burnt out.
You've been walking down this road for days, but it could easily have been months. After a year of surviving in this world torn asunder, time has lost most of its meaning. The electrical lines have either been blown over, had a vehicle embedded in them or simply had their cables snap, fray and fall down. But one particular pole catches your eye - a note made by a typewriter, stamped in with a hammer. You didn't even know typewriters were around anymore, let alone functional.
ATTENTION TRAVELLERS AND SURVIVORS
We are what is left of the Knox quarantine zones. We have taken over a small town, placed down walls, barricades, fences and defensive works to keep everyone safe inside. We have facilities to protect you, to house you, feed you and care for you.
We are in need of assistance from all able-bodied laborer's and skilled tradespeople. We will always take other individuals and assist their learning, and we will not turn away those less able than others. We have the facilities to accomodate injured individuals and treat them until they can join us properly.
Find us south of Raven Creek. We have a full compound and plenty of space to welcome you. Find the Last Light, enter the warmth of our hearth and thrive. We will reclaim this world together.
