Frostbite is a server that starts small in origin. Initially made as a passion project of enjoying writing about an alternate world. It soon became Frostbite Roleplay, a way to open up the world and its lore for all to experience. With our extensive growing lore, which dives into the world of pre- and post-destruction, players can fully immerse themselves in the world of the game. The following is a VERY summarized version of our lore, and it is highly recommended that you check out our lore posts, which go much more deeply into the specifics of each event.

*The world is a cold gray world, devoid of what once made it beautiful, those still living form feuding settlements that can never seem to agree on anything... Remnants of old try to cling to the idea of what once was, while bandits and thief's live in a criminal paradise. What once was Major cities is now the home to radioactive roaches and those transformed by the old weaponized virus... *

It is the Raging 80s and tensions are rising between the 4 major powers,
The Sino Prosperity Sphere was reigned over by the Peoples's Republic of China, recently finishing its invasion of Vietnam and having strong-armed the rest of South-East Asia into joining its militaristic, economic pact it stands as the sole powerbase of Asia.

The Organization of Free Nations headed by the United States of America, stands as the major democratic beacon in the world. Spread across the globe, from North America to Oceania and Western Europe to the Cape of Africa. Facing immense struggles in sowing freedom by funding rebels, and fighting proxy wars in the name of democracy.

The Russian Confederation, formed out of the backwater of revolt, governed by a circle of Nationalist revolutionary leaders. The Russian Confederation stands as a bleak image of its once Soviet body, spending most if not all of its economy on the police and intelligence services. Having recently just barely won an invasion into Iraq, while trying to sow descent amongst the US populous to gain a power base in the OFN.

Post-Soviet Enclave, led by leaders of the once-Warsaw Pact, formed out of those fleeing prosecution in the wake of the Second Russian Revolution. Stands now as a military pact with the sole goal of reuniting what once was the "Red Giant of Russia." The PSE is the only major power without Nuclear Capability.

A new arms race has begun between the OFN & SPS over a new Virus labeled BB-55837, developed originally by American Scientists but deemed as inhumane. Chinese intelligence managed to get their hands on it and weaponize it igniting a reaction of maintaining peace by Mutually Assured Destruction.

Russia is tearing itself apart over the normal theme of Russians overthrowing Russians. Post-Soviet Enclave forces invade in the wake of a worker's revolt, while the east tears itself into warring towns and regional zones.

With all this happening, war is brewing in Asia. The SPS prepares to take out the last thorn in their side of South Korea. Little did they know, that this would only click the clock closer to midnight. Leading to a naval clash and the sinking of an American Carrier group. As the horns of war bellow, people can only pray as unknown missiles cause the clock to reach midnight and the end of what once was...
