#My Server says it can see the internet but I cannot see it

I ran through the guide to set up a dedicated server. Running in UPNP mode.
The server console says that it can see the internet and is ready to go.
I cannot find the server in the server list or adding it via IP to favorites.
Honestly I am kinda stumped on this. Never had this much trouble setting up a dedicated server for a game before and I am at a loss on what to try next.

Where did you create the server? On your own computer or some elsewhere?

My own PC, downloaded the app from the tools on steam and ran the batch file after adjusting the ram

Did you fill in the correct IPs? For it to show on the serverlist you‘ll have to set the setting as well as opening up the required ports

I set the public flag to true, i also tried to disable upnp and set up a manual port forwarding rule. I think there is some buggery going on with my router because i cannot find any other errors that would explain this

If you want to host a dedicated server I‘d suggest you to pay for it online, then your computer doesn’t have to be online all the time.
Otherwise make sure to open up the ports in the windows firewall (if not automatically done) and in your router.

However, you should be able to connect without any issues from the same computer as the server is hosted on with using localhost/127.0.0.1

#

For some hosting providers you won’t be able to connect externally even tho it’s technically possible within the routers settings.
That’s when you have a DSLite Tunnel.

You gotta find out if you have a DSLite Tunnel, which is probably the case if you‘re not having a business contract

#

Then it won’t work anyways.

So launching the server not using the batch file but instead the short cut provided lets me see the server, but now it hangs on "getting server info"

Use the batch file to launch the server

#

What kind of problem is there with doing that?

red zodiac

im past that now, and just stuck on "getting server info"

#

it hangs on this screen

And you are using your Local IP?

red zodiac

Can you share your logs.zip file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?

#

Also, which specific batch file are you using?
