On a western-headed, two-way route out of Louisville, the apocalypse has made its way. Tearing across the United States- with Patient Zero being a distant memory from a month ago somewhere on the other side of the States, the Plague goes by many names- it started as, simply, “The Plague”, but many more terms have surfaced during the onset of the crisis. Some believe it spread through the food, others believe it was the water- however, most believe something quite simpler- everyone is infected. No matter what age, race, gender, or personality- everyone will turn. For it has spread across the air, across the atmosphere- and with cases having appeared in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, it is hard to believe something could spread so fast.
The “Infected” are no longer human. Evidence being pooled enough as is, with rotting faces and dismembered limbs, they stop at nothing until they grasp and chew through their next meal. Some believe it originated in a small town, somewhere in Oklahoma. Do others have more radical ideas- Permafrost melting and dethawing a prehistoric virus? God's heavenly wrath? Is the rapture upon us?
Indeed. One would be forgiven for thinking the world was coming to an end for it already has, it just takes a long time for one to accept their way of life has ended. Now, 3 weeks after it has reached your hometown in Knox County, Kentucky- the time has come for you to accept it. The question is, will you survive? Or will you become a walking corpse's next, delicious meal? You’ve watched it happen- your friends, and family, all dying from one wound or the other- only to get back up, bite or not. The only way you know works for sure is to aim for the brain, and hope to god it strikes true.
