Zomboid is fairly CPU intensive

You may try checking your Task manager for the CPU usage to confirm

Yeah I cannot really suggest much else other than lowering the settings as that may help the CPU a little bit, such as lowering the resolution or turning off the higher zoom levels, as that can sometimes improve framerate
