make sure ur host has the ports forwarded on the other side of things

it won't do u any good to have them open on the VPS if the host has them firewalled out

it's also a thing when you have a firewall, but yes if you're directly connected with nothing inbetween that is correct

Server itself seems fine

Some VPS have a firewall, so it definitely is a thing

If you are on linux, the IPtables might block the portsd as well

So I recommend checking that as well.

usually the letter G being on the start of a linux program name just means that it's a graphical frontend for a thing
