Back in this server after months of taking a break fron this game and let me tell you: it was very good before, it is amazingly good right now.

The server has established a strong foundation after its overhaul in all aspects: community, mods and support.
The community: veterans, new players, and every category in between will love the player base here. Anything you need, just ask away and people will help.
The support: staff are experienced PZ players and will help you on your journey. They are active in the community, chatting with players but most importantly they are players themselves and will enjoy playing with you.

Overall a much, much better experience than the last version. You won't need a lot of time to prepare and start your journey either as the mods are pretty straightforward to use and easy to grasp.

One of the best i have experienced so far:

• Its a modded experience with helpful and enhancing mods aswell as the amazing 10 Years later Mod , all of this gives you a real post apocalyptic vibe without having to install thousands of mods which will cause problems at some time
• Custom Recipes/a custom Kaeldor Mod to give the server a real Economy and a totally different vibe compared to other servers
• Expanded Map with some town being bigger and better than vanilla and some completely new locations to uncover (very good for "veterans" of the game)
• Actually this is the most wholesome community i've ever experienced in the entire Project Zomboid Community , there are veterans and very experienced players (1k hours +) and complete beginners playing together - i myself "learned" the game on this server and could always ask questions which helped me a lot and made the game so much fun
• Its not common that a Server Owner and the Staff is THAT close to its player base - have complains? dm the owner , A Settings Recommendation? dm the owner , You wrote your own code for a recipe and want it to be in the Game? Share it with the owner and it might be included! The Staff will visit you frequently on their Staff Account to check on you and have a little Chat if you're up for that 😊
• Sometimes we organize events such as Partys at our Marketplace/Community Bar
  -You can request a custom safehouse to be set up if you want to build your own house/village/base in the woods for example
• In order to be free all the time , industrial buildings such as the Firestation or Warehouses cant be claimed as a safehouse to keep a steady loot respawn rate
• Even tho this might not be a real exclusive aspect , its a PVE Server meaning players cant harm you - but dont think surviving will be easy then , the undead will still hunt you down - how you fight them is your thing , no matter if youre solo or in a team

One thing is sure , if you decide to fight the Undead with us, you wont regret your decision!

1. Admins are seriously kind (they are the people love to being asked questions)
2. The owner of the server actually code (moded) for the server and the owner knows what is going on.
3. People(players) are very chill.

So umm Lera asked me to give an honest review and here goes. First off you have an extremely active community, but with minimal to none griefing. So that's the best of both worlds really. Secondly, and I speculate this is related to the first, is the incredible mod situation. This is where it really shines. Mods are great, but they're also a pain frankly. Loads of them are initially fun but end up breaking things, and running the game without mods is a dull experience. Consequently rather than running a bazillion that turn things into a complete mess you just have a few basics along with the custom mod that brings it all together. Crafting in particular. If there were an area to nitpick it might be difficulty, but it's impossible to please everyone so that's a minor thing. Personally I'm good with it but in some areas the population is sufficiently scary (West Point perhaps) as to be too much for beginners. But like I say, if it were made more easy there's a very real risk for every person pleased there would be two disappointed so all in all fine as is. Probably best to just let folks starting out know some regions are best avoided until they have a bit of experience, heh.

Hands down one of the best servers I’ve been in, with a supportive & interactive community for new players, and with people to engage in friendly banter with (I treasure this more only because I’m a chatter box ). It also accommodates a variety of gameplay styles (Like with me, I prefer to do more base building & role playing than killing the zombibis and such) And I’m lucky enough to find a community with all these traits to assist me with my end goal.

Also, just to note - when I first joined, I didn’t play the tutorial so I knew absolutely 🌸ziltch🌸about this game, I found it quite difficult. An Admin picked me up, brought me to a safe location and coached me through the basics. They didn’t have to do this but I’m so glad that they did, because it made me keep playing this game (which is out of my comfort zone) and shows how interactive and caring they are with new players.

Joined 8 months ago or so and this is a brief explanation on how my experience went :
Seeing how the server has a functioning economy where players can actually trade things for money or items I decided to become a mechanic that fixes and sells cars
This allowed me to make a good enough profit to buy ammo and support my ammo addiction in the custom made marketplace
I've managed to sell clapped out cars
No one would've bought due to my amazing mechanic skills (and very handsome personality )
Youre able to craft most things with workable iron allowing you to offer services as a weapon smith or car parts dealer
You can also become a medic and sell the Cure (which takes a considerable amount of effort to make in the first place ) to infected players
Most skills in the game can be turned into careers and offered to the active community with the server not even being a roleplay kind of server
Beside server economy the community is amazing different personalities and characters and the mods are so subtle that it feels like it should be included in the vanilla game
Server owner is a very chill guy (he's a rat irl) and listens to his community and keeps giving us very frequent updates and features to keep things fresh
Server is extremely newbie and vet friendly
You can fit in any of the existing factions or you can be a lone wolf (like my chad self )
10/10 would crash with a mclaren into a pole again

I've been a longtime PZ player, since May of 16. I had tried different servers over the years, but never staying or playing very long for a number of different reasons. With the relaunch of MP with B41, I was set on finding a good MP experience, which Kaeldor has provided on multiple levels. I joined in April of 2022 and am still playing on this server, on a near daily basis. Server owner is approachable and open to different play styles and skill levels. The staff is helpful and with varying degrees of experience, which helps bridge the gap for new players to feel welcomed and understood. The community though is the best part. Most people are friendly and helpful. For those that are not, or who embrace a trolling playstyle, are handled accordingly. This is the best PZ MP PvE server you could join.

One minus point is that the performance takes a bit of a downturn when there is a lot of people online (potentially endangering the characters life). However, it is still playable.

After seeing the news about Kaeldor starting up again recently, ive decided to dive into it once again. I didnt play too much on the previous iteration of the server, but i had some good memories from playing there.

At the current state, the server gives a great experience - in my personal opinion its the best option for pve multiplayer gameplay, especially for the players based in EU. Ive tested multiple servers, trying to find some space for multiplayer long term gameplay, and its hard to find a good candidate in this matter - the servers can give various experience, because of the amount of customization you can make in project zomboid, by settings and mods. Lot of servers are also either overwhelmed with mods, too much time consuming to grind for skills, or are unfortunately quickly abandoned.

As for the Kaeldor - admin of the server, Lera, is very active and daily engages with server and its community - making sure its running well, and being always available when there are some issues or requests - as well with the help of the moderation team. There are no plans for wipes, unless really necessary, which provides opportunity for long term gameplay without fear of losing your progress and builds. You cant randomly pick up loot containers that are outside of your safehouse, so the map isnt being griefed. As for your safehouse - its available already to claim, without need to wait certain amount of days, and on top of that you have option to request a custom safehouse zone in the wilderness, so you can basically set up your base in your desired location. To prevent griefing cars, you cant also take the engine parts from vehicles that are in a good condition. For the placed and dropped items - there is available list of specific items that wont be removed, while the rest is regularly cleaned from map, so the server isnt trashed and overburdened with them as well. Daily restarts on specified previously hours also help mantaining the smooth work of the server. Reading books is also adjusted for the multiplayer experience - with fast reading trait, i found myself going through reading skills books in few minutes, and reading magazines and comic books in few seconds.

Right now, there are 3 marketplaces - where you can sell and buy items and furniture from. You gain money on the server by selling silver and gold scraps, gems and specific list of 'junk' items, and medical drugs. The mentioned scraps are obtained by collecting and disassembling all of those jewelery items from zombies, so its another good use for the objects that originally have no purpose at all, besides cosmetic.

Zombies are tough, but not overwhelming, unless you got yourself surrounded by hordes. The multi hit option is disabled, so in the end i would personally say that its well balanced. You can also craft cure from the materials dropped by zombies, but its designed to be late end game option, because of difficulty of obtaining those materials, and having skills needed to craft it. So its not easy, you would need to kill lot of zombies and spend time to grind skills - although theres always option to buy it from the other players, that are often offering their resources for trade.

As we are talking about players - the community is very nice and helpful. Global chat sometimes gets goofy and very random, sometimes also people are focused on grinding, but when you have specific question - you will receive good answers. Also when you meet people locally in game, the encounters are always nice and friendly - sometimes also funny, like meeting the guy impersonating president Biden, using ai generated voice speech heh. There are few important rules listed on discord server, for the ingame chat, so in the end the community and its space feels friendly and safe.
If you are also tired of looking for certain books or magazines - just ask, and players would offer those for you, often even for free, or for at least realistic and obtainable price.

Activity on the server is very high, even in the middle of week, but in the end people are located throughout the whole map, so it doesnt feel like too much - and with loot respawn, there is always available loot for everyone. As someone already mentioned, because of high player count, server perfomance sometimes slowed down in the busiest hours - which would result in slower chunk generation, so you would need to wait a bit while driving through long distances, to not fell into 'black hole' parts of the map. Although the provider for server was changed recently, and Lera still observes and making sure that the perfomance will get better.

So i think thats all i wanted to mention. In conclusion - if you are looking for long term multiplayer experience in pve style, similar to vanilla solo game (but adjusted properly for multiplayer) - come check Kaeldor, and you wont be disappointed.

After spending more than 400 hours in this server’s previous iteration, I was delighted to learn it had relaunched.

Kaeldor is an EU-based international PvE server that caters to a wide variety of PZ players: The newbs, the veterans, the loot goblins, the builders.

The recent upgrade to more robust hosting hardware has made the gaming experience even more reliable. The included mods improve upon the base game without being overly excessive. First among them is the Kaeldor mod, which is developed and maintained by the owner himself and is constantly tweaked, keeping things fresh.

There are many features that contribute to the server’s longevity: Safehouses, both vanilla and custom; 3 vehicle claims and vehicle respawn as needed; loot respawn every 16 hours and numerous lootables, ranging from novelty items to rare power-ups; random weapon modifiers and custom weapons. In Kaeldor there is something for everyone.

The community, both staff and normal players, are friendly and helpful. Indeed, the server’s Discord is active almost 24/7. There are both solo players and those that have joined factions.

The server’s economy is booming. There is an NPC marketplace, where you can buy a wide range of useful items as well as active trade between players. Currency can be collected both by simply killing zombies and by selling loot in the marketplace. Be sure to check the custom crafting recipes!

All in all, if you are looking for a PZ server with soul, look no further. We are waiting for you beyond the hordes!

I now have 60+ hours on the server since i joined. The server has scheduled restarts to keep the server from crashing and causing other issues. The server gets updates to the mods on a regular bases which is adding new stuff to the marketplace which is place for you to buy looted/earned currency ingame. There are various other mods that a bunch of QOL tweaks to the game experience. I have found the community to be quite helpful in helping each other out in crafting the rare crafting recipes that be obtained from zombie drops.

Just wanna give this server some love too. Not able to play as much as I'd like but the community and staff are real friendly. To give an example, I came back online after some time away and saw a new player was stuck in a barricaded spawn building. The staff v quickly broke the barricaded door for them and then a player helped us escape the compound by tearing down a fence. (We found a useable car inside and needed a way to drive out.) Quite a quick death on that play, but still had a lovely adventure with the new player as we searched for a community base in the woods together.
Some real thought by the team goes into balancing and making gameplay multiplayer friendly here.

You can find money from zombies and cash registers among other places. You then can go the to "Safe zone" (marketplace) and buy items or can sell items which are both found in crafting menu.

One of my favorite servers to play on. A lot of good and friendly people to play with. If you're ever in trouble BOOM admin/mod pops out of no where excellent. Lera is a very very chill Server Owner anyone can strike up a conversation with him. The mods in the server are probably ones that i would use if I was playing on my own server which is good. Noob and veteran friendly everyone gets along and if you're in the server and we happened to meet don't be afraid to ask for help.

Good quality server with lots of friendly and activ players. And a sweet and caring server owner love u lera. It will not get boring cuz there are players online almost 24/7 and Lera always comes up with new and funny ideas to provide the players with a ton of stuff to do. I played on this server for quite a while and i can definitely say its the best PvE server out there. Everything from good moderators/owner, just enough mods and of course custom mods/plugins made by Lera and community. However like most other pve servers there really is not any endgame unlike in pvp servers where there is always some pvp to do. You can of course still make challenges for yourself like moving places, changing character builds or what i did recently building my own base from scratch. This is by no means saying that the server is bad but just a flaw of pve servers, adding sprinters would simply make gameplay slower as you would have to attract zombies one by one to be safe.

hey there, so, about the economy, is it like, player driven? if so, would it be viable to just settle as a merchant? because i have always wanted to be one in a multiplayer game, would you say its a biable option? also is muldraught area taken? idk how to write it, english my 2nd language

Not really at the moment, its a marketplace where you can buy goods in exchange for dollars. But we are open for suggestions and there are some discussions ongoing about changing the server settings and how the world is set up. If you can find players that are in need of items it would be a viable option. most players are around westpoint.

Server seems in live support now, no event, no active staff, no communication between owner/staff with user, ignored requests, no journal making most player quitting. It is just there running... Player feels ignored and leaves.
