I've used a mod for fire fx for a long time and this looks similar to that but with the obvious improvements to the backend, def. good.

Would be nice if there were settings to allow combustion of zeds and nature and buildings separately so that we can avoid towns burning down on MP but allowing fire more generally, while we're working on the fire system.

I have question.
What with optimalization? How big spread of fire can we put untill we start burning our own machines?
There is still bug with fire when we leave burning tile things that was burrning are immune to destruction.

Hopefully this crafting system fits in with the rest of PZ gameplay after its implemented. I would suggest that it should take a lot of skill and materials for someone to build something like a blacksmith. Not like in other survival games where anyone can collect some sticks and stones and build workstations from the get go

To clarify, it would be really cool to be able to craft something like an anvil, but no one would do that in a real apocalypse because it would be extremely difficult. I think the devs should keep that in mind to be in accordance with the semi-realistic theme of zomboid

Exactly think about twd comic where they was "finding" the pieces of their equipment to make the ammos and not create the molds from scratch to be honest a way like that will push also the players go to scavenging often that is my point of view.

Animals are shaping up to be really cool. I hope animals get frightened by zombies and run around making noise, and if cornered attack the zombies before succumbing to them. Will be pretty amazing walking around towns and finding this kind of story taking place, maybe even rescuing them. Can't wait.

PLEASEEEEE can you add an option that allows server owners in MP to stop or delay decay in some items. Specially for farming. It is a little hard for not so active servers to implement farming as sometimes there is not always users online at the time the crops are ready.

it's gonna be aids doing any kind of inventory action at higher latencies when this update drops, even equipping weapons onto your hands will be subject to that delay if the server has to verify every single action

To be honest i hope the stations system will not be like the others survival games ,like with 2 sticks, 3 rope and 2 ore ingots i will build a smithing's station, i would like more realistic like to build a smithing's station i will need to find the tools, an anvil, a table and bricks for build the furnace, will push me to go out and scavenge, to obtain metal or metal parts like melt the scraps and will take time to create an hammer, like 1 hour in game not 1 second i hope they will keep the realism of the game and also yes animations and visual effects like the log in the furnace and the fire from the furnace

I can only second this as a possibly unrealistic wish, I also play with a lot of friends from all around the world and i'm much less worried about them cheating and adding items than about the game being just really unresponsive and sluggish. Inventory interactions are such a core part of the game, swapping, equipping weapons, to even just reloading your gun from the backpack or having a teammate drop ammo for you to pickup in a pinch.
Really worried that in further attempts to curtail cheating or exploits, the game just gets less and less responsive for everyone else. Hopefully they manage to do it in a way that doesn't make it so.

  1. Mods can be developed in a different code to what the actual engine runs on, e.g I'm currently modding for a game that runs on unity (so C#) but I need to write the mod in lua
