non dedicated incorrect password | Project Zomboid | Page 1

Hi, me and a friend have been playing on my non dedicated (host button) for a few weeks and everything’s been fine, but yesterday randomly my friend can no longer join it keeps saying incorrect password. But we’ve never had a password for it and it even says on host startup that passwords are ignored when hosting this way, anyway we can fix this? Don’t wanna lose all this progress

Can you share your logs.zip file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?

It is a file called logs.zip in the Zomboid folder

From the server settings:

# Clients must know this password to join the server. (Ignored when hosting a server via the Host button)
Password=dukeyduke

Try removing that password from the settings?

Coop servers cannot be joined without invites anyway, so passwords are unnecessary

I did try that, even with no password it still says incorrect password on his end

Try removing it and then have your friend try reconneding

Then share the logs again

#

And then let me know what his username is as well so I can see it in the logs
