Welcome to Project HAZMAT!
We have just wiped and restarted the server as of December 28th, 2022. The server has over 45 map mods, and a total of over 250 mods!
We're a laid-back, casual server, with lite RP, a medium to medium-high zed pop, no zed respawns, 1-month loot respawn, occasional events, and custom mods, currency, and marketplace. The server is intended to be long-term survival, so we try to keep the server wipes to a minimum.
The settings are as friendly as they can be towards newcomers, but still enough of a challenge for seasoned veterans that want a chill experience. In addition to mods added, we've set up "safe" areas/communes throughout the map for players that want a safer place to play or base out of, and/or like helping provide supplies to a community hub. Additionally, safehouses can be claimed anywhere, and by anyone, after one day of survival; other players can walk into your safehouse, but fire and looting of safehouses is disabled. We've geared the server to cater to as many player types as we can, including things such as:
- A variety of clothing mods for the fashionista players
- Variety of construction mods, for the builders
- Various loot and spawn tweaks, with minimal zed and loot respawn settings enabled, for the 'murder-hobos'
- Several mods to add a variety of collectible loot, for the collector/hoarder players
- Vehicle mods for the mechanics and car collector types
- Extra TV shows for the knowledge/skill buff players
- Several mods to help with immersion, for the players that like that
The server is physically located in the US, but we've set the ping limit to 800, with players even on the other side of the world in AUS often reporting a ping as low as 300-400 (which is fairly impressive, considering).
