#Too many UDP connections?

Ive been having ISP lag issues recently, it seems to be being caused by too many UDP connections. Just recently got back into PZ and found attempting to join multiplayer servers seems to trigger the issue!
Anyone seen this? Offer any explanation? Or even help give my ISP proof they are at fault?

This is what happened when I tried to join 3 different multiplayer servers.

Bizzare, are you able to perhaps use a VPN or connect to a mobile network, shared from your phone perhaps?

#

Since that would check whether the issues are ISP or PC related

#

Can be then used as proof that the issues only happen on their network and not normally

I dont have any VPNs right now, but yeah I think i could try it from a laptop on 4g...
Im fairly sure its an ISP fault, or more specifically a limitation of the Super Hub...
but maybe im wrong...

Possible, since Project Zomboid specifically uses UDP connections

#

If they have any limits or if the router / hub fails to handle those then that might be a problem

Well, Ive installed PZ on a different PC... Same problem when i attempt to join a server, my internet lags out immediately.
Tethered to a phone and attempted to conenct again via 4g... and it connects with no issues.

Now this isnt really a surprise to me, but now i need to try and convince my ISP!

#

This is exactly the problem!

Hey Guys, a little update on this one:
I couldn't resolve the issues with UDP and my connection, so I removed any UDP port forwarding rules I had and kinda stopped playing Zomboid for a bit. The problem went away.
About a year ago, I started playing again, and the problem didnt seem to come back. I was even able to start hosting a MP server from my connection without issues.
But heres where it gets interesting. Since b42 came out, the problem has come back. I Stopped hosting the b41 server and again, removed any NAT rules for UDP. but its still happening!
It seems to happen, whenever the b42 client is launched, from any PC on my network. This is very strange considering multiplayer is currently disabled.

In fact, it also happens when quitting a game and returning to the main menu. Ive resorted to creating a windows firewall rule to block the PZ executable from getting out.
