I've been having issues since I reinstalled it where it takes a long time to load the game if I change mods I have to close it because it freezes and when I try host I make a character it just has a black screen

Tech support is for vanilla errors, you should be asking for help in #mod_support 🙂

Are you running a new server or the old one after disabling the mods?

the entire game just seems to run poorly since reinstall

Could you check if you have any files in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\108600

there are quiet a few even though i uninstalled them

i tried to join a server today and had to download mods but there is nothing other than those

Make sure no mod leftovers on your PC

Steam>Workshop>Your files>Subscribed items>Unsubscribe from all.
Wipe the mod folder from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\108600
Then go to Steam Library> Project zomboid> Properties> Local files> Verify.
Restart Steam.

tried to host a server again and for 5 minutes its just been a black screen

Does it only happen on this specific server? Are you able to join other servers?

Would likely mean there is something wrong with the server itself, can you try creating a new server settings file and try host that one? Keep it modless and keep all settings to default

In that case, can you share your logs.zip file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?

It should contain all the info we need for now, since it also contains the server logs, as it would likely be an issue with your specific server if you are able to join others.
