Can you try using the "Alternate launch" option when launching the game through Steam? If the game fails to start again, can you share your console.txt file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?

Seems to either fail at creating the graphic display or loading sound.. do you perhaps have multiple monitors?

since you said it could be failing to load sounds i remembered that i installed voicemod yesterday and uninstalled right away but in my device managers there was still two things from voicemod so i uninstalled it and i restarted my computer and it's working fine now
i dont know if voicemod was the issue
