the first team is mostly super class but has teq broly since he works well with other saiyan units
the second team is mostly extreme class but has gt goku since he works well with the brolys and buffs them a lot

This is because generally most villain units have unique links that other villain units will have. But most of the super class units are characters like saiyans who most of the time work well together. But there are many super class characters who don't work well with other super class characters, or vice versa for villains. You get exceptions with units like broly who is extreme because he has saiyan links which a lot of super class units have. I think you get the idea.
