#Waterlogged is too large

I think it's pretty much agreed that Waterlogged isn't very fun to play on. Yes it's visually impressive, but that doesn't change the fact that nobody likes it.
On average, the final scores on the map are half of every other map, and half of that gameplay is sitting in the same area waiting for something to happen. This is because it's TOO DAMN LARGE.
Dinosaurs won't run into humans because it takes too long to get there and back, and humans won't get out of their hidey-hole because it takes too long to go to other places.
Simply put, Waterlogged needs to be shrunk
From playing on the map, these are the problem areas of the map: Laboratory, Cargo, Cryogenics, Specimen Holding, Aquatic Observation/Courtyard -> Specimen Holding, Roof
Laboratory: Aka Plesiosaur corpse. Too wide. Squish the sides in, so that way it's less of a hassle to get into, and turns it into a flank route.
Aquatic Observation/Courtyard -> Specimen Holding: There's nothing wrong with these areas in particular, but the connecting passages (bridge and ferns) are too long. Half the length. Then people will run into these areas as flanks or holding positions.
Cryogenics: It's too wide. Cut the room width down the middle, then people can use it more effectively for close-quarters combat.
Specimen Holding: Aka Bridges. These are far, far too long. Halve the size of the bridges, then people will be more likely to cross them and enter the side areas. It'll also make Cryogenics not as long.
Cargo: Oh good lord this area. It's too long and too wide, you literally cannot get across the full length or width of the room as a human on a full stamina bar. Halving the width will reduce clutter in the area, make connecting areas easier to get to, and improve the flow of the map. Halving the length condenses the fight area, forcing people to use more interesting holding strategies.
Roof: Add visual clutter to the ceiling, that way fliers have more cover.

90% of waterlogged is used by both teams, the 10% not used is that bridge and that electrical area

There’s some areas I agree could maybe be trimmed down for a tdm version, namely the area with the fish tank at the very back nobody goes to (I bet some people don’t even know it’s there)

#

The big room with the mosa in the cylinder, the brick area with the crane and to some extent the ice room are the ones I see people hang around most times

#

Dinosaurs will sometimes go heal at the mosa corpse too

I think it’s fine at its current size because it’s the only map where large servers feel somewhat balanced

Maybe it'd be easier with some visuals (I can't even fit the entirety of Cryogenics on the camera good lord).
Basically the red areas would be removed or squished into the remaining playable area

Waterlogged seems to be really polarizing, some people like it but a lot of people hate it too xD
Perhaps it could be trimmed slightly, but one thing to note: No matter how you design a map people will always flock to certain areas. There are lots of spots in other maps that are unfavorable to go to also

personally, I think it's kind of nice to have guaranteed empty areas that you can retreat to, or having the empty rooms be for less crowded spawning... But, I also understand the other side where people don't like to walk so far or get lost in the corridors, so am not sure
