Typically, engines are right behind the propeller, because it's effective. Some aircraft, however, have engines far away from the propeller using a drive shaft (not quite sure if this exactly)

Anyways, there should be an option for the ability to add a drive shaft thing and have the engine, which is away from the hub, operate the propeller. Of course, this can already somewhat be done with a weighted fuselage piece and a small propeller, but would be a nice addition to SP2.

The examples that are given are the P-39 (the most famous example), the Italian P.119 (notably, this is a radial engine design) and the French VB 10, which has two engines in front and behind of the pilot driving contra-rotating propellers.

Is this a necessary addition? Not really, but once again, it's a nice addition that would open up more options.
