This is more of a whole expansion than just a regular mod idea, and it is no where near done yet even in the ideation stage and I'm not sure where to put this whether here or #share-your-stuff or otherwise, I'm not sure if I'm going to make this (definitely not alone, especially since I am lacking in modding experience (though I do have experience with Godot)), But I believe that this mod would be very cool to see, I'll be continuing to fill out this document until its done but just wanted to share some ideas I've been working on- Lucid Blocks theming is super inspiring and I just had to act upon that inspiration so here's this.

That would be rad! I think I'm good with UI (given my game projects I worked on before) but I haven't even seen what Lucid Blocks looks like in Godot yet so idk.

hmm im not sure if i'll be contributing, at least not right away. but one of my eventual goals is to make tools to make modding for the game easier, so that could help make the mod easier to make and manage ^-^

I would love to see this in vanilla game:

COLORED PLASTIC CRAYON

The Crayon allows one to draw/paint onto surfaces, whether to trail a path already taken in a maze, draw arrows or signs in your cornoqualia or otherwise paint an image of your dreams. You can place the crayon into crafting with any other colored plastic and it can change to that corresponding color, combining it with any other block than plastic will give you plastic pellets (high bias), combining it with any other ingredient, tool, paraphernalia, or otherwise will give you ‘rename pencil’ (high bias).

To obtain it, combine rename pencil with a color block (a block with a color as the first word of its block name, such as plastic blocks for example).

Not sure if its possible though considering its a voxel game, also haven't messed with 'paint' code in general but its a navigational tool that I think would help players in many places, can function as a sign so players can name their cache cubes for example.

those recipes are hard to nail, but maybe theoretically doable
as for the actual function, it’d likely be a thin layer on the surface of blocks

recipes are variable to change after I learn how Lucid blocks handles its crafting system and the specifities of the essences, the recipes are more there for the general direction rather than like any absolute model for what should be.

but yeah I thought the function would be just as much- some flat crayon-themed brushstroke mesh

The crayon could just have its own interface like right click opens up a radial wheel of colors and then left click paints

Also had an idea for portal traversal.

where there is a mob in the game called 'Gate' which is an immortal, unmoving door vermin (can only be killed by Leviathan and 'Dematerializer (which is in the Esoterika doc above) like Meeshus, and drop 5x 'Gate Capsules' on death and you can also craft the gate capsule with Egress Block + Capsule). They are two blocks tall and thin with a cool fog effect, Attacking it causes it to dissipate and thus you can walk through it. Enemies can also attack it to open it unless the gate is on a guard cube then hostile mobs cannot open the door.

Then, there is an item called 'Shapeless Key' which is a non-corporeal key-shaped item that when combined with literally any block, item, paraphernalia, weapon, tool, etc it will transform into a Formed Key of that corresponding item, i.e Shapeless Key + Blue Plastic Block = Formed Key (Blue Plastic Block Key), or Shapeless Key + Tungsten Appendage = Formed Key (Tungsten Appendage Key).

These keys can be right clicked onto the Gate vermin, and if you do two gates with the same type of key (same block/item), then it will resonate and become a portal from which lets you teleport from one area to another and you can have as many gates as there are items/blocks in the game.

Trying to link a third gate with a key already used for another two will result in a rejection (for obvious reasons).
