I have few ideas how could you can improve the drone gameplay.
1. End-of-Wave Ranking System
I suggest adding a ranking system at the end of each wave, based on the player’s efficiency and performance.
Ranking criteria could include:

Resources used (rockets, airstrikes, missiles, etc.):
The fewer resources the player uses, the higher the score. -
Wall integrity:
The wall has a health bar, and its remaining health at the end of each wave should directly impact the ranking.
The more damaged the wall is, the lower the final grade.
Ranking scale :
S / A / B / C / D
This system would encourage more strategic gameplay and reward skilled resource management.
2. Currency and Progression System
At the end of each wave, the player should earn currency.
This currency could be used to:
- Unlock new weapons
- Upgrade existing weapons (drone weapons, primary weapons, add-ons)
All upgrades and unlocks would be accessible through a base upgrade menu, giving the player a clear sense of progression and long-term goals.
3. Weapon and Loadout Progression
Weapons such as:
- Submachine gun
- Bomber
- Grenade launcher
- Drone add-ons (rockets, airstrikes, missiles)
could be:
- Unlocked progressively
- Improved through upgrades (damage, cooldown, ammo capacity, etc.)
4. Optional Sleep Mechanic & Achievement (Extra)
Before going to the computer to start the combat phase, allow the player to go back to sleep.
the player chooses to sleep:
- An achievement is unlocked
- The game ends the current run, the player must restart the day
