🛠️ Detailed Description:
Currently, the only direct threats are zombie hordes managed via the drone. This suggestion proposes introducing a new type of threat: hostile human groups (raiders, militias, fanatics...) attempting to attack the checkpoint or steal supplies.
Unlike zombies, these attacks would be handled directly by the player using:
• A first-person combat system with firearms (SMGs, assault rifles, snipers, shotguns, explosives…)
• Buildable and upgradeable defensive structures like sandbags, turrets, shooting posts, floor traps, and barricades
• The ability to recruit or unlock guards to station in towers or key areas
Additionally, the player could upgrade their character with:
• Better equipment (weapons, specific ammo, attachments)
• Stat progression (health, aiming stability with sniper rifles, endurance, etc.)
These human raids could happen randomly or based on reputation, adding pressure and forcing players to diversify their preparations.
🎯 Justification:
This system would introduce a new active gameplay layer, breaking the routine of inspection and base management. It would expand the world’s realism by adding smart, unpredictable threats, and increase the survival and defense dynamics of the game.
It would also create deeper links between daily moral decisions (e.g., letting armed refugees in) and long-term consequences.
🎮 Expected Gameplay Impact:
• Brings variety between inspection, management, and combat phases
• Increases tension and immersion in the post-apocalyptic setting
• Allows for more freedom in player progression (playstyle, gear, defense strategy)
• Boosts replayability with unpredictable raids
• Opens up potential for side quests or narrative events involving human enemies
