First you should draw from real life and try to use less is more, try to understand the shapes first don’t overcomplicate it and slowly move into making original background design, use the same artworks you did and tru to mash them up together sort to speak. Because you already drew them you’ll feel more comfortable tackling an original background. Ofcourse also, YouTube always has great artistic videos 😄

thanks! When i made it i was thinking of my own solo gameplays, it would be nice to have a NPC companion help you out so i made up Rusty :3 he is a little broken and silly but he helps as best as he can.

Yeah, I can see them maybe doing that? I'm not sure, though, because you'd have to figure out what should be good and what should be defective about an npc semibot

That's why I made him broken down and kind off like a ghost/legend? So no one is sure if it can be killed or if its "alive" in the first place. the idea is he isn't a perfect helper or fast. He has many flaws in the carrying objects back to the extraction point but would be proficient at distracting monster or taking the hits for you.

tbf the lc employees r pretty short

they are 5'3" (160cm) and semibots are 5'8" (173cm)

but the semibot height is kinda hypothetical, depends if the devs see units as meters which is how im measuring it (since theres no confirmed heights for anything)

but LC does have a confirmed height (with old birds being 19 feet), so i just translated the units over to LC employees to get their height

Tinkercad, its not great for sculpting as the closest you get it by making an object a "hole" and then combining the two shapes to make it cut that bit off. However, its pretty good if you wanna just give a crack at it, as its free, web based, and even good for 3D printing
