I could be because you went into its proximity, nearly every monster has proximity radius (an invisible sphere around the monster) , once you enter it (even when they are unable to see you) they will get alerted and attack, the size of the radius depends on the monster and if your crouching or not, or maybw you were making noise (particularly talking) and he got alerted

Not only is museum rly big and doesnt have much rooms with particularly dangerous pits (it still has some), some small valuables there take a decent amount of space and hence are worth putting in the hauler (like the colored cap or the wine glass that can spill)

personally, what i think they should add is stuff like the shotgun and pistol to show up a bit more frequently and earlier rounds. In a fair few singleplayer runs im having, im coming across aboslute garbage in the shop half the time in the early levels. Im literally having to rely on whatever few granades and mines I am able to buy and even then, I dont typically have enough to get something decent to go with it.

when you get stuff like the trudge spawning in or the scarecrow in early levels or monsters with high health pools. its very hard to be able to kill them in the few things u do have available at the time.

i disagree. Ive tried using it late game and im using it more as a glorified pocket cart than i am actually driving it. Good additional option for storage and a safe method to store small items and orbs but im just using it the same way as a pocket cart. instead of driving it, im just dragging it around.
