I'm going to be very expeditionnary. This post is not a lore dump show off, it's more of a design doc I'm offering to gauge potential interest to know if I should get working on it proper
TL:DR
Quasi Quantum Inc. is an independent research corporation that was drawn in the Colossus sector from the monolithic activities, and is seeking to study it for profit.
They aren't outright inhuman in practices, but see actions & employees in a pragmatic "raw value & net outcome" manner.
It is meant to be a large (in content) minor faction, that fills an empty niche (neutral research focused group) and can be used as a mean to enhance, compliment and develop the monolithic related lore & content that could make the game feel much more unique.
General faction design
Logo is attached. Inspired mostly from Traxus (Marathon). Goal there was to make a unique looking logo that you associate with the group, rather than having a fat "QUASI QUANTUM INC" under it.
As for the overall in game items & clothing looks and colors, it will follow some if not all of the following criterias (also see an example of potential looks):
- High-tech
- White/blue palette
- Sleek & clean
- Light & flexible
Mapping wise, it'll fit a similar vibe of a mix of long yet thin lines along with rounder shapes (see DIS Vaquita for a good example of what I mean by rounder shapes)
How it'll work is company will be available through in game role(s) that will spawn at their POI.
Lore possibilities
Other than just banking on the monolith related weirdagoon stuff, there is a possibility of using said company to be the furnisher of thing such as telecomms providor, teleportation etc.. No retcon will be done, just things that are in line with the general view to enhance the setting.
