On my TSF character, that id only made recently, I was looking to get some more money for it and so chose to do a merc shift
After deliberating on what to do for a while and what ship, I ended up getting a peregrine and putting 2 vanyks on it for drones, during drone while attempting to instal more shards, upon un anchoring a thruster, it randomly powered off..
Attempting to repeat the same thing but one the right side, I reached the same effect.
Then I realized I had 1 working thruster for each side. (L and R)
Knowing that this is a BIG issue I head to that one engi poi to get equipment. After trying a few things nothing working, I planned on heading back and buying a new ship.
Then someone tries to pirate me.
I decline their request and attempt to flee, my forward thrusters are hit by an emp, and then my shuttle console, by the time my console works, I’ve lost my reverse thrust and all side thrust. Taking the chance to escape as the ships overspun , I get to 600m and FTL away.
They jump after me a few times before ceasing, and I take the time to decide on a course of action.
I warp to Camelot and leave my ship spinning in space, as everyone knows pirates only pirate to shoot stuff, they ignore all else and glass the ship.
I take that time to get on Camelot gunnery, and USSP members also arrive as the pirates ship, and their backup, a tayfun are glassed (mostly by the USSP people but I like to imagine I helped)
One of the pirates dies but the other takes the opportunity to get on gunnery, as I’ve moved into space believing them both dead. They take this time to fire the Gunnery at everyone
No ships from what I understand were destroyed, but were damaged, people move onto Camelot and gun him down.

In the but a Svinya, taking the opportunity to loot 2 more vanyks, totaling 4, then going as far as I can into the rim, reaching 55k and making 1.2m from various loot.
Due to poor planning I ended up flying back while being chased by 8 drones at its peak, but being able to outrun and destroy most during a 30km retreat
