Access to firearm vend

The lethal weapons vendor doesn’t sell to pilot roles. This may be intentional.

However this is fairly detrimental to self defense since less-lethal vend is outclassed by even the cheapest SMG.

always just play merc

you can buy weapons and weapon ships

and you can be hired by pirates

theres really no reason to pick contractor or pilot, as merc has better loadout options and just slightly more access to vendors
