I imagine that could only truly happen because that game received updates over time for things like HiAD, and remakes like RtDLDX would probably have needed some new aspect in order to be made into a worthwhile package over the original. Interestingly, I actually think a lot of the best bosses in the series are the "mid-finals", not the true finals, like mage sisters, morpho, ||genwel||

My preferences for the true finals are the same as the base finals: Sectonia and Fecto/Chaos all the way

Sectonia had balls to put death pits in the arena, first time I've seen that in a final boss since Yoshi's Island

tbh i almost never enjoy true final bosses mainly because i feel like build-up matters and most true arenas have issue with difficulty balancing.

mainly its like. im doing all that for the promise of something entirely new at the end of the tunnel but it also means that that new boss is something entirely new and unexpected and i get only one try to figure it out until i die and have to redo the whole boss rush from the ground up

i know some people love that but i personally dont lol. which is why im glad that FL added retry button (and rtdx allows you to bring items to heal up)

That's not how these things usually work in games which do allow you to revert to base strength

If you wish to become human again in Daemon X Machina, for example, you pay a hefty fee to remove all your skills and abilities and restore your appearance, same with the upcoming sequel, Titanic Scion.

For context, in both games you gain new skills and perks by abandoning your humanity to go cyborg in DXM1 and by fusing with other biological beings in Titanic Scion, with the option to remove it all in case you wish to take a different upgrade path later.

Probably on the more extreme end as an example, as you do not get reimbursed at all in the process

Not like, say, salvaging a piece of gear in a gacha game because you don't want it or already have another copy maxed out

This being a Kirby game, I do not expect a downgrade system to be complex or concern itself on resource management

With the limited amount you get from Treasure Roads, you can only upgrade so much before you must take on the Colosseum for more

Besides, the challenge roads and forgo dreams levels provide just enough rare stones to get all the evolutions... But for upgrading in general, your only reliable method is through arenas (or, though an exploit, constantly die in one of the forgo levels with a stone in it)

I honestly dk why I thought tornado was so bad before, its offense is very good when there are enough stars (it does suck in some fights) and its defense isn't too bad, just a challenge to manage

Drill completely sucks tho, its circles don't even do that much
