I was just thinking about this relative to the unfortunate controversy of the game's own price point - and the massive song library that's supposedly hidden away in this new title
if you give soundtrack access day of, you kinda lose out on a big reason to purchase the game proper, especially for those who just want the new tunes
and if you want people to buy the fancy new Mario Kart, you can't do that at launch
I will say, I think that in itself is one of the big reasons why we rarely have anything released in 2023 and 2024 in the Nintendo Music library
