In alternate timeline, the reason why there’s only 23 songs to start and gradually get more throughout the year is because they had to get a perfect screenshot for each music and they struggled a lot because they weren’t satisfied enough for it

My download of the FL OST doesn't fade out and doesn't loop any song, it just abruptly cuts out somewhere during the second loop

So I keep expecting the songs in this app to like, die, and when they don't it's a little disorienting but largely luxurious

Y'know, I wonder when someone will get around to providing the audio file for that specific variation of "The Dream Discoveries Tour", as Nintendo Music is currently the only place where the automatic language detection sound effects can be listened to without the voiceover drowning it out. As the kind of guy who enjoys getting the opportunity to dissect sound design in general (future aspiring filmmaking guy right here!), it would be neat to give it a listen...even if I already have the Complete Soundtrack CD release.

To be more specific, the internal sound effects for the elevator are literally just the sounds for the elevator rising, coming to a stop, the elevator doors opening, the Eternal Capsule door opening and the Waddle Dees running in their "hamster" wheels. The automatic language detection sound effects are merged with the voice recording, for all foreign versions, and are lumped with the other two voice clips for the sequence. Pretty cool in a programming sense since I imagine they wanted to give ultra-super deluxe priority to the voice clips in the sequence, especially considering the potentially large amount of sound effects that can be in play at once during the player-controlled portions of the cutscene.

The CD releases have the Japanese version of the voiceover in addition to the various sound effects, and the version on Nintendo Music, from what I can tell, is identical to the CD minus the voiceover. That's the bit I want a clean HQ audio file for at the moment - the rest I already have thanks to the Complete Soundtrack release.

This Expansion Kit update is nice because it reassures me that they're able to update existing albums with more songs.
Even with what was going on with Forgotten Land last week, I wasn't entirely sure until now.
This tells me we're bound to get updates for the DLC of Splatoon 3 and New Horizons at some point.

incidentally nothing actually directly increasing the quality of the original song, it relies a lot on adding depth via those edits

the main reason I think it could be added is solely because its a tangentially anniversary related switch game and already has a lot of music ready and also may not be getting a album release any time soon
