i feel like what kirby does best here is BALANCING what kind of "horror" youd see at the end of the game, its not always eldritch horror or whatever it gets really boring quickly, but they know they can just do whatever and decide whatever they think is best for the game and definitely had a lot of fun with whatever final bosses they thought up. sometimes it doesnt even just have to be scary, just threatening

I mean, HAL has pretty much gotten rid of the "pause for lore" with Forgotten Land. They just didnt do the same for Deluxe becasue they would of had to tell the story a whole new way with it being a port with new content. But I am sure most kirby games will follow Forgotten Land's example unless its a port of a 3ds game
