Her hair being short was probably from chemotherapy and it had started to grow back and she thought she was free but the cancer returned shortly after bounsweet was caught for mallow and after the outburst, she unfortunately passed away assumably hours after Mallow got frustrated
The consistency of apologies were most likely due to the amount of hospital bills Mallow’s family had to keep paying for all the treatment because that Stuff would be just as expensive in the Pokémon world as irl chemo is costing
