Hey, no need to worry—credits are only deducted from your account when actual computation is performed. In your case, the credits were consumed when the job was run, but the deduction was reflected a bit later, likely because the page re-rendered only then.
what i mean, the credit always deducted from the chat credit not main credit, but after third fork, it deducted from the both chat and main credit. Main credit only deducted when i increase my chat box credit not when running the chat box
main credit only when i topup, its like bank saving credit. Chat box credit use when i running the chat box
If credits are used during computation, they are deducted from your account. The chat credits or budget simply show how many credits were used within that specific chat, but those are also reflected in your total account credits.
It’s possible that you didn’t see the deduction immediately because the page hadn’t re-rendered yet. Once the page refreshed or re-rendered, the updated credit balance became visible.
when i transfer the credit from the main credit into chat box credit, it should consume credit in the chat box credit only but not both. because before the third fork it never consume credit in the main credit. just recently it did consume both..
when i transfer 5 credit from main credit to the chat box credit, the chat box credit will increase 5 credit, and the main credit will decrease 5 credit which mean it already deducted.
if by running the prompt in the chatbox consume both credit, then when i transfer credit from main credit at the top right corner into chat box credit, it should not deducted from the main credit
if by running the prompt in the chatbox consume both credit then its like your double charge us
Just to clarify how the credit system works:
Credits are not transferred from your main account to the chatbox. The chatbox credit limit is simply an upper threshold to control usage within a single conversation.
Credits are only deducted from your main account when they are actually used.
So, even if we increase the chatbox limit, it doesn’t reduce your main account balance unless those credits are consumed.
In other words, think of chatbox credits as a cap, not a wallet. The real deductions happen from your main account during usage.
ok i understand that point, but if i understand correctly, if the chatbox credit is a cap, then when i increase the limit such as 5 credit, then the main credit should not be deducted 5 credit, am in correct? because what happen is that, the credit in the main will be deducted when i increase the limit in the chatbox credit as if i transfer the credit.
You're right in your understanding—when you increase the credit limit for the chatbox (for example, to 5 credits), it’s not just setting a usage cap; it actually transfers those credits from your main balance to the chatbox. That’s why you see the main credit balance decrease by that amount—it’s essentially allocating those credits specifically for chatbox use.
Thank you, so when i run the prompt in the chatbox, only credit in the chatbox will decrease, but the main credit will not be consume. that what happen initially, then after the third fork of my app, i see the main credit also decrease when i run the prompt in the chat box.
Once credits are allocated to the chatbox, only those should be consumed when running prompts. The main credit balance should remain untouched.
However, if you're noticing main credits being deducted after the third fork of your app, it might be due to a reset or change in how credit allocation is handled for that specific fork. To help clarify this, I’ve shared a link with you that explains how credit usage works in detail. I already read the credit usage kb, can you make it so that the credit only deducted from the chatbox credit not from main credit. Main credit only for topup and deployment.
i already topup the main credit and it still deducted from main credit and chat box credit
Hi Adzalan,
Credits get deducted from top right only, sometimes the value doesn't get reflected immediately. If you refresh the page, you will see the updated value.
Credits down in the chat box are to show how much a specific job has consumed. Suppose, initial value 0/5 is at the start of the run. When agent runs, 0 increases till 5 ecus, but credits will be deducted from top right credits only
