Although it's dealt with extremely quickly, A man dies during the incident. The man is strolling through the Afterlife, before he stumbles into the Domain of A fairy, and their L'il Critters. The Fairy asks the man to take the L'il Critters with him, and he'll be allowed back to the living world. He agrees, and then the Fairy elaborates further: "These Creatures are young, and they are too curious for their own good. They MUST see the Living World. However, they cannot remain stable, nor corporeal, in that world. If you truly accept, please, find A way to let them be free. They'll be turned into what you Humans call, "Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards,", as to remain stable. Do you truly accept?" The man, not wanting to shut down the L'il Critters' Dreams, truly does agree, and he is thrown back into the world of the living, with his ultimate objective being to find an Energy Source powerful enough to free the L'il Critters outside the confines of A Duel, or so he thinks. Talk of an Ener-D Reactor starts to buzz, and so the Man sets off to find more clues about it. Does this sound like A good way to insert A character into the 5D's Story???

I need some help with an idea. You know how DSOD was old yugioh but the cards are designed from a modern POV? Like the cards they used in the movie would never have existed back then with the amount of text and the type of effects
If you had to build decks set in that time period for a story, how would you do it? Because going through all the non-extra deck cards till today and trying to see if they "make sense" to exist in that time seems daunting
Or do would you prefer just sticking with using cards from that era based on the irl release schedule, so dsod duels in a fanfiction would still only use pre GX cards

The Geist he called forth resembled a macaque with snow-white fur and a very vibrantly red face. It had nine tails, each carrying a blue fireball, and its eyes were ablaze with blue flames. If it was a Normal Level 1 Monster I could understand how to play around that or if you could dicard a Card go get the Spell that Summons it back I could understand it but not how it is now

A previously written character description, but probably worse.
His homeroom teacher was a man in his late twenties to early thirties who wore semi-formal clothes in dire need of ironing. He had coal-black bags under his eyes and a five-o-clock shadow. He also looked like he injected coffee directly into his veins every day. Despite all this, the teacher still looked relatively dignified; his eyes were a deep, vibrant black, and his scruffy raven-black hair gave him some youthful charm. A sandy sloth-like spirit that looked as tired as he slouched across the teacher's desk.
I don't know what the synonym for vibrant that applies to black is.
