Finished Star Anis part 2 and chapter 20 of the main story

||went through the full album/EP for T.T. Star and… honestly, I liked each sequential song more than the last. They put a ton of effort in and it shows, but Clickbait and Accelerate just did better for me than All Eyes on Me. Seeing Mustang be Hanson again almost broke my heart though, in a good way||

As for ch20 ||I now understand why Argor said Dorothy is complicated. I was ready to start dropping elbows on Johan but instead he actually grew on me and Dorothy dropped lol||

||and, if you let wild hunt build up his passive, he can end up reanimating rodya near the end||

in short

||use high status application or fast appliers, and prepare for a long fight. eat bad clashes to let vergilius take the more dangerous clashes, and then when he pops his ego, always take the excision coins for him||

||wild hunt is great at keeping rodya in the game and kodya with her positive sp form is the way to go for better defensive clashes, but totally dip into her negative sp form near the end to push the last bits of damage. dont be afraid to unequip all ego in case you are afraid of corrosion pushing verg to the edge and causing a game over||

||its a lesson from the past fights so far with needing to balance out fighting with just 2 sinners and knowing ball with excision coins like a certain sinclair.
needing to balance out the way for vespa and ezra's great clashing while knowing when and how to let them eat shit from matthias when your own clashing would get you killed
and guiding vergilius to finish a fight faster like when you fought valencina||

||seven heath and kurokumo heath both have pretty good application. but their overall lower clashing can sometimes cause them to eat shit too fast. i would unequip all ego if you use either.
heathcardo has damn great clashing and fights back but his best clashing skill is unbreakable which means you can end up having turns where your only option is to let the emperor nuke you.
dieci rodya as mentioned is fucking invincible but she can end up not mattering cus of it
liu rodya has good app but poor clashing. same deal as heath's other ids in that sense and then both ring rodya and princess rodya can do a ton of work here||

aldo ns and gariyu are probably my most hated aac fights

incidentally, those two are two of the last ones i hadn't done yet

for aldo, he has some gimmicks

first one is he changes elemental weakness and immunity depending on your frontline

second one is he steals your af bar to do his own af at certain points

then there's the point threshold

doesn't sound like a lot considering some of the ones i've posted in here with several billion

buuuuut his party bonus requirements are awful

dragon+guiding light

guiding light consists of exactly two characters in teh entire game (aldo and cyrus, for their silly chrono trigger x slash reference)

dragon has a few more characters, but they are very annoying to make work cohesively in this fight, esp with all the damage aldo shits out

sooooo after trying cyrus' new stellar awakening in this fight and still not working, i finally caved and went with a wind team

ofc this means no party bonus, which makes getting to 380 million a lot harder

even with this team it took me a lot of runs

gariyu aac still isn't happening btw

the only party bonus trait for that one is water, my water units are not up to the task of dealing with all the damage gariyu shits out

and neither is the above team i just made work in the aldo fight

finished zzz story, verdict: quite good

||the overall story was moderately interesting though the last part was obviously by far the best. the remielle exposition dump near the end was a bit heavyhanded but much-needed tbh, and i like the introduction of a faction war of sorts between remielle and sunbringer, though i'd bet money the "assassination" isn't what it seems and that all sides are "good" and we all end up teaming up against whatever dumb bullshit TOPS is up to by the end of the roscaelifer story. speaking of which, youkai was sorta namedropped during the story and then literally nothing came of it? that was odd and probably the most prominent hanging thread||

||cissia continues to be more involved and a much better character than i though she ever would be. also her VA absolutely nails her performance. very strong showing from the girl i figured would be one-patch-and-done
sbilly was fun but his story felt kinda phoned in... he just upgraded because reasons, dude felt like he was in this patch to meet a male character quota more than anyone else. also him leaving his past behind was just given one throwaway hamfisted line when we don't know anything about it really so it had no real meaning? if i were a billy fan i'd be pretty disappointed on the story front, though the combat was fun

i love disk RNG, burned a tuning calibrator and 2 cores on this to get AM main + AP and ATK% subs and ofc rolled shit defense for the other two lines and got upgrades on both instead of anything else useful

at least the other 2 rolls went into AP instead of ATK%

on second thought i should've rolled this as a phaethon's melody disk instead of a chained disk for slightly more splashability but w/e, the struggle is the same

i hate rolling AP disk 4s, they basically only ever have one good substat so most possible rolls are shit unless you luck into a +3 or +4

but i watched this guy's gameplay (he also had KotS nangong) and they got a full extra stun and then some and idek where the massive daze difference is coming from

i do know their nangong was fucking juiced tho, every disk with an AP sub was either +3 or +4 AP lol

i also tried promeia with both 5* gemini and base fusion compiler and got basically the same score

but trial hiyuki was enough for dirge so i was hoping trial luuk would be enough for abom

unrelated side note, luuk's ult voicelines are so good. "i bestow eternal peace" and "my scalpel etches your epitaph" are bars

i found that i really like hiyuki's voiceover as well, i remember being unenthusiastic on the first teaser but her lines do go hard. i wish her ult2 animation was more impactful though, it's beautiful but doesn't have the big finish that a lot of ults do

must've had very favorable crit RNG on top of a perfectly sequenced run (or at least as perfect as i can get it)

i feel like promeia's sig is more important than i'm giving it credit for specifically in the context of optimizing this fight

it feels like you have to make a choice between having enough daze to get a full 4th stun, or having enough promeia resources to do more than like a single abloom

i bet her sig's extra AM leading to more anomaly/disorder procs solves the resource problem somewhat so you can just tunnel vision on stunning

in other news, i cannot believe it took me this long to realize that prika in nikke has the same VA as evelyn

i need prika playable yesterday so i can MLB her
