Ok so from what ive read in order to get an ssr unit past level 160 you need to pull 4 copies of them, but because of the sybchro device you can just push units pqst that threshhold even if they arent mlb'd
So is there any benefit for rolling for additional copies of a limited unit?

There's some things limit breaking does beyond the level cap iirc

once you have 5 MLB'd SSR units, there are only three benefits to limit breaking a unit:

1. each limit break is a 2% stat increase
2. at MLB, you get the nikke's burst animation as a lobby screen
3. at max core (up to 7 dupes beyond MLB), you get a shiny portrait frame for your profile

azur lane - limit breaks are extremely important to the extent that non-MLB'd chars are effectively useless. but you don't need dupes to LB chars, it can be done through other freely and consistently acquired means so it's whatever
zzz - dupes are notable power increases but not even remotely necessary

the numbers on the burst are increased, but in a way that nerfs her if you focused her gear on charge damage

(since the charge damage interaction is what was fucked to start with)

stage 2 was such a big powerspike i can't envision i've leveled enough to do it that easily

yeah i wouldn't worry about it too much, i think the highest i was able to clear before breaking the 160 wall was like stage 4 or something

and that was after a while at 160 and with a fair bit of overload gear (the endgame RNG gear)

the repeatable rewards increase in tiers anyway, i think stages 1-2 are the same, then 3-4, then 5-7? could be misremembering

obviously getting the first time clear rewards is nice too but in terms of repeat rewards every day i don't think there's any benefit to stage 2 over 1

so just being able to clear 1 is still fine

usually though you'll see ATK% increases of like 70% and atk damage% increase like 35%

which should give you an idea of the balance between them

the atk% is a little over 11% and the atk damage% is a little over 9%

it's just because maxed alice gets 100% charge speed, so she charges instantly

so optimal gameplay is trying to get essentially going from one max-charged shot to the next with as few frames as possible of her ducking back into cover in between

and obviously spending as little wasted time as possible at 100% charge

it's pretty insane to watch people do it properly

i'd ask how tf they do it but i'm pretty sure i know (macros)

and there are ways to fool it, like setting up recorded key presses with your keyboard but sprinkling in just enough randomness to make the anti-cheat think you're doing it manually

either way i'm not gonna risk getting my now heavily invested account (in both real money and time) banned so i can get squeeze out some extra DPS in a gacha game where the reward for doing so is basically to flex and not much more lol

honestly, while alice's DPS is very good, i almost think her real power is what she does when paired with scarlet: black shadow

S:BS's DPS goes absolutely ballistic with a maxed alice alongside her

S:BS has a very short charge time (0.3 sec i think?) but alice has a buff that speeds up her charge time by a percentage of alice's charge time, i think 10% of her 1.5sec charge

so she almost halves S:BS's charge time, it's a bonkers DPS increase

S:BS with alice buff is tied for the highest boss damage in the game

cinderella is the only one who matches her, since her burst hits like a truck filled with smaller trucks
