Started a new Gacha recently called Guardian Tales. Prob one of the better ones gameplay wise, atleast for the main story. Doesn't also hog you for Stamina when replaying any Story level. Tho, still does so for other resource gathering stages.
Only real complaint I have is there's like a super huge difficulty spike in like World 11. After the game only got like minor updates or so for a while during that time, so the dev time just bumped up the difficult so people who were playing for longer have a better challenge, but it pubstomps newbs, according to the subreddit. Only advise I saw in the comments is you just gotta gather materials for a month or two to max out 2-3 chars. (Could be less if you min max), which is kinda a bummer because the mat grinding is like standard gacha fare nothing special, I just want to continue with the story mode tho.
On a side note, managed to dodge getting sucked into BD2 by a friend who kept trying to tempt me to the dark side.

Not sure how I would rate how predatory that is, since they shower you with gems at the start and for each stage/world cleared. Sometimes you get a char in 3 10 rolls, and sometimes in like 10.
The pity system seems nice atleast, it just gives you another currency per roll that you can redeem 300 for any prev character/weapon. And after an update or two, newer chars/weapons also get added in there.

one of the many things Ryuki, Fate's big inspiration, did well was establish the "war" parts of the setting as almost ritual-like and taking place in a separate world entirely, and almost all of the participants' powers were restricted to that world
so a huge part of the show is the main cast interacting with the side cast mostly because A. they can't do shit to them in the real world so they're forced to play nice and B. the double identity thing makes it hard to know who's who, so it's just as much a mystery as Fate
and as a result there's a lot of interactions and development between both the main cast and the side cast so you sympathize and enjoy every character
