hit bowsers castle in super mariomon and despite the fact i've spent most of the game resetting when pokemon I'm attached to die via nuzlocke rules or to something I think was BS/unfair

a random crit acrobatics from a mon that the ai had a DOZEN chances to use in other encounters but didn't so i didn't know about it knowing that killing one of my fav party members has kinda reminded me how much of a mistake making my first playthrough of this fangame be on the nuzlocke mode was. The permadeath stuff just kinda spoils the fun for me rather than adding stakes or challenge. the encounter rules (specifically how the nuzlocke mode handles them) are frustrating. and the games difficulty curve is so unpredictable at times

but i'm also too stubborn to just restart in normal mode and play through the entire game up to this point again
