#First Run after the Update with a reset Profile

As the Title says i did a fresh run and made it very close to the end, lost somewhere after the greed fight. I realy like the concept of the game but some things dont feel balanced/unfun atm.

My first Issue are the random recruit events that you are forced to accept. Pretty sure i got realy unlucky since i had 5 random recruits out of 7-8 random events. My party was full after the second event and i just had to tank Hope and lost units from my sqaud because of it. The rate of random recruits gets even worse in the second act and i had an constant issue of no hope because there is no good way to get rid of squads. Maybe add a limit for certain events within 10 random events idk

Imp Lords are way to strong once i had 2 of them the game was way to easy by just killing the first enemy squad with 2 imps and after that wait for the second summon to have 4 frontline squads (sady both ran away after the recruit spree left me with no hope). They need a dmg nerf and Cooldown increase in my opinion

Warlord battle seem to random, meaning eary in act 1 i faced a Troll with a club that nearly 1-shot my units. In the middle of act 2 i faced one of those tree that dont do anything once you park a unit next to them Togehter with the above mentioned imp spaam which i didnt have an act 1 it basically was a normal fight

Yara and Elani felt like a burden to keep alive (another hope sink). I know they get stronger the more loops you play and you can get upgrades for them. But for a reset profile in act 2, they just couldnt do anything and i had to keep them behind my ranged character.

The Map for Raid battle in act 2 is way to big. Felt like 4 times the size than in act 1. The only good way of doing them for me was by parking all but 1 unit somewhere in the middle and have 1 unit with a lot of speed upgrades run around collect loot and bring enemies to my team

Unsure how i feel about food. I think i either had 3k Plus ignoring it or going down a way to long route with random events losing it all. Need more runs to reach a conclusion but if you dont train more than 1 unit im pretty sure i can just ignore the resource all together unless i get unlucky with a chain of events. But that brings me back to my idea with a limit for certain events in a row

Now that i have played a bit more i have to say Dynamic Difficulty feels really bad

  • pretty sure raid battle are the same with Dynamic Difficulty
  • normal battle throw more waves at you, feels like twice as many as before (might be problematic for act 2 since that already was a bit of a slugfest)

But Caravan defense battles are so off balance. The battle started and 10 seconds in there are 13 enemy squads on my screen 4 of them are the little goblins throwing grenades that bounce in a random direction blowing up 2 squads engaged in battle. Sure they hit there teammates too, but there are so many of them it doesnt matter. I dont know if there is something wrong with when enemy spawn but thats seems broken

As a side note i die the Lady Vengeance fight a couple of times and i had severe performance issues once. I remember that being an issue during early access
