#Thoughts after a few playthroughs

First off... I want to say that the game feels and runs great on my PC! No stutters or frame drops and graphics all look good.
Gameplay is really fun and I see the potential to how it could get really exciting as you form strong units around you. Some thoughts below on potential improvements...

  1. What about being able to stack commands to units? One thing I still struggled with is trying to do any sort of flanking or what not because I’d forget, or not remember quick enough, to send another command to units after I move them around. Stacking commands would allow for “move here, then move here, then attack.” The pause menu would be great for this as you can stack multiple commands to different units during the pause. It would sort of make it more turn based, but keep the fast flow of the combat. Showing these commands next to each units icon in the top left would really add to the tactics needed to win.
  2. I still struggled with figuring out what units are mine, especially when the enemy is the same type as mine. Not sure how to fix this, but there needs to be better visuals distinguishing units.
  3. I think it would be good to have a type matchup visual available. Some are obvious, but it would be good to have a quick button to click to see what type the enemy is weak against along with what their element is (think how Horizon games did this).
  4. When you complete a segment and select a new unit, there should be a video that shows the units in action. The descriptions are good, but don't always show the whole picture of what the units are like in-game.
  5. I believe someone else in the discord mentioned it, but the units should have a default setting they keep when not commanded. Should be something like “always attack, defend only, stand your ground, etc.” I also had a couple instances where units killed who they were commanded to, but then just stood around and took damage without fighting. Again, this could be a visual next to their icon.

Agreeing with the sentiment (keeping similar feedback in one thread):

  1. Allow unit orders to be stacked (typically shift-click) for specific movements without the need to slow/resume multiple times in a row for the same units.

  2. Agreed with the unit comments. The base units feel very similar when they aren't using their singular ability. It might just need to be made more prominent.

  3. Default unit formations and behavior settings are a must. Ive gone through several early battles where archers charge the enemy unit but my troll stayed put. Pretty opposite of the behavior you'd expect for a ranged/tank.

@sleek ridge We should have queue commands now -- should be Shift +

Thanks for the other feedback!
