Hello Everyone!
I'm currently playing a new Career with Kerbalism (1st experience for me) and a few other mods.
However, I have struggles understanding how science storage works with Kerbalism. I have understood that there are 2 types of science ; data, and samples. I have also understood that you need to have enough storage for these two kind of science on your vessel.

Right now, I have a ship with a Thermometer, a Geiger Counter, a Mystery Goo Can and a Science Junior, in an elliptical orbit around Kerbin. I have been able to run all these modules to 100%.
I also have an "Experiment Storage Unit" for sample science storage, and two "ER-7500 Computer Flight Unit" (come from KER mod I think) for data science storage.

  • How does the storage of these science work ? Is it automatically transfered to a container on the ship ?
  • Or is it stored into the science module until I manually transfer it to a container ?
  • I have also figured that there's a "Transfer data here" button on containers. Does it gather all the science of all the science modules of the science type ?
  • Let's say I make 4 science points with the Geiger Counter. How do I check where theses 4 points are stored exactly ? In which container module ?

Thank you all for the precious answers !! happykerb

while i dont know if Kerbalism change this, the KER flight unit is meant to give KER modules to in-flight crafts, not as a storage module

Kerbalism does change this 🙂

ah, ok
i dont really know Kerbalism, was thinking that could be the issue.

i assume you can click the "transfer data here" to move data to that unit like you can with the stock experiments bin

Yes that's true, but unfortunately it does not answer my questions

I think it automatically transfers
