As the title implies, ive been having issues even coming up with a way to get to Geito. The two screenshots attached show it's inclined, eccentric orbit.
i have what is probably too much dv (17,000) in LKO, but this mission is mostly practice for a later landing mission, so i'd like to be able to get from LKO to Geito orbit in about ~8000 dv, which is the planned amount for that craft (and then back with a similar amount via ISRU)
I did try Transfer WIndow Planner, but its pretty useless for how eccentric Geito's orbit is.

What I'd personally try to do is to leave Kerbin's SOI with the same or similar inclination as Geito. Try and get in to a kerbolar orbit first and manage your rendevous from there. Though bring plenty of snacks when you do that 😉
i feel the problem with that is that leaving kerbin's soi with a high inclination doesnt really do anything helpful
am i meant to change my inclination after leaving? but then wouldnt it be really expensive because its around the sun?
considering using mechjeb 2 for this, im wondering how much it would be able to help
ive check mechjeb and it's saying the most efficient transfer is 2500m/s and the capture is 1900m/s, which is much closer to something i'm used to, though it wont create the node for some reason
for context twp said it should be more than 5k overall
finally got it to work, but goddamn thats expensive
not even including capture which is probably fairly expensive
~8500 m/s overall, yikes
bit much to do with the time limits of ion drives and their lengthy burn times
with that kind of dv its making me consider going into mpe's config and making geito's orbit slightly more sane
it seems astrogator can make the maneuvers, and while they arent PERFECTLY accurate they usually give me a closest approach node so i can fine tune manually
