Probably don't use mechjeb. It probably glitched and did that. I have never been to Duna (But I want to), but I know how. I guess just do it manually. There are manual transfer planners on the internet, I can send some if you want

i don't even think that's MechJeb glitching out, I'm pretty sure that's just a bug with the game

KSP isn't perfect, that's why they created KSP 2, to eliminate a lot of the weird, buggy, and glitchy mechanics that were deep-rooted into the game
