If so, your Shadow probably won’t level up even if you’re using the "Shadow Loot" talent, because you killed the NPC with a weapon

Try leveling on a higher floor of Infernal Castle and bring 2 Shadows (Billion Ziru and a strong Shadow to defeat the NPC) while using the "Shadow Loot" talent, and let your Shadow be the one who kills the NPC
