I read the FAQ, but was wondering if there was anything else required for passive income. I have a manager and a manager's desk, inventory is simulated, so if I have nothing else in the shop, will I still get passive income with just the Manager's Desk and the hired Manager?

yup that's all you need... well you have to have something on the shelves for customers to buy.
You make more passive with extra employees though so it's highly recommended
