A couple ideas to simplify the control scheme while maintaining all desired function

Above all, a feature to rebind keys would be ideal, especially being able to have overlapping binds.

  1. For opening and closing boxes, instead of f to open and close, use right click.
  2. For throwing boxes, Q would probably be easier than G since G is a while 2 keys away from WASD and its uncomfortable to reach
  3. Right click to box up structures instead of B
  4. I don't know about late game, but early game E seems underutilized given its one of the easiest keys to press.

Also, I noticed the game was runnable on my computer again, so great job on the optimization.

Hey Elliot! It's been awhile, thanks for posting! I'm glad it's working on your machine again.. we've made small optimizations but nothing that would have made your game go from several fps to playable..

We have rebinding in options. Please try it out. There are no safety measures for overlapping key bindings though.

Generally we try to keep right click for very common controls, followed by close keys like f, q, r, v. For controls we consider tertiary or non-main we move to further away keys like g, c, z so users need to really think about it before they push it.

I know other simulators like to utilize q for throwing boxes..

E and R can be used instead of left + right for sad track pad users like me lol
