The sprawl effect makes the late-game map cluttered and hard to read. Increasing building slots (e.g. 4 in the City Center and 3 on other tiles) could help reduce expansion, and replacing thematic building overbuilding with upgrade paths (like evolving science buildings) would further improve readability.
