One thing about the dlc leaders is that they've gotten a lot more narrative events than the ones in the base game, with the most impressive number belonging to Genghis Khan (for comparison, Augustus has 16 unique interactions with events, Genghis has 25). I think having leaders get more unique events that aren't only linked to their attribute points quest would go a long way in feeling more attached to them.
I'd recommend having a mix of easy to get and more specific events: as Charlemagne, maybe have an event upon converting a conquered settlement, which would be easy to achieve, but also get a way more specific one if building a monastery!
All in all, this would improve the uniqueness felt for all leaders. Putting them on the same level as Genghis would be awesome, but maybe even go farther.

Agreed! More events !

Also I just checked and out of all known Narrative events, Charlemagne literally only has the base quest ones, meaning he has 8 total, so my example of Charlemagne is even more apt.

Yes please! In addition to being fun, some of the newer events bring a lot of strategy into the game, choosing between large but contrasting bonuses. More of these!

It would also be cool to see narrative events that involve other civs, whether tied to actual historical events or not. Maybe an event where if completed, would greatly enhance the relationship with another civ, or lead to war.

I like the event where if you're Rome and somebody else builds the Colosseum, you're presented with the event to capture that city. It would be cool to see more events like this that add a side quest to your journey

I agree! One of my other posts talks about more civ interactions, like an event for conquering Ming's capital as Mongolia. I think this could be added to leaders as well. Maybe stuff like befriending the Abbasids as Charlemagne to reference the white elephant sent by the Caliph to the Carolingian court, or as Tecumseh go to war with America.

Actually it would be really funny if there was an event with Charlemagne where you get the albino elephant and one of the options is to automatically unlock Siam next age.
