#Victory Animation Feels Dull

I'm not sure if the current victories are placeholders for the next age but it does seem like they are since the animations for winning the entire game are pretty boring and feel very anticlimactic. While there is the little cinematic after the game is actually over while you are still in the game the animation could use more love. Economic victory and culture are pretty boring especially since nothing really happens whereas in science and military you actually watch a rocket shoot up/ nuke go off.

Completely agree. When I first won, I though: "Oh... That's it?"

The victory conditions for the modern age are quite boring so i wouldnt be suprised if they were just there until the next age

Yeah, comparing the victory screens from Civ 7 to Civ 6, it feels like a downgrade.

For example, I imagine the Science victory screen being something like:

  • The first airplane taking off
  • A transatlantic flight taking off from the US going to the UK
  • A highly aerodynamic plane breaking the sound barrier
  • A rocket launching
  • A crew inside of the rocket looking down at Earth through a window of a pod

At least then it would be showing what actual progress was made in the game to lead up to that victory.
