It would be really helpful if there were an in-game "Game Log" that you could open up in the UI to look back over important events/choices and what turns they happened on. Sort of a mix between gossip and timeline in previous games.

Stuff that would be helpful (or potentially helpful) to include on the Game Log (with turn # & year):

  • wonders built or projects completed
  • buildings completed
  • celebrations started/ended (and choice)
  • commanders recruited / fallen / respawned
  • settlements captured
  • city states suzerained, and bonus chosen
  • narrative event names and choices picked (cost and benefit)
  • legacy path milestones reached
  • commander promotions/commendations granted
  • (modern) ideologies chosen, artifacts researched on continents
  • (exploration) settlements fully converted
  • crisis events and choices
tangential benefit: could potentially be helpful for debugging purposes

Might also be helpful if there were a few filter options:

  • show/hide certain players
  • show/hide certain types of log entries
  • currently active effects

Def not opposed good idea

I also want end game graphs thinking along same lines

Sometimes I would finish games just to see the graphs

Somewhat related, I also thought it’d be good to have a pan-age historic moment graph like civ 6 to help tie the ages together. I would also suggest having a cosmetic graphic on the pre-age tech/civic tree as well. Anything to help player see where they were compared to now
