Haven't had a single issue on PS5

Modem age is regular crashes every 5-6 turns on PS5. Concerning that the latest patch notes make no mention of a fix for this issue. And it's not a small problem, one look at the community and you'll see this is a widespread problem on PS5.

On standard maps modern age is unplayable. I can finish the game on small maps with some crashes. Last game had like 15 crashes on modern age small map.

Anybody had any actual help with the crashes on PS5? They keep closing all the posts about it here, but yet they aren’t fixing it or even addressing it publicly.

They keep trying to close my ticket with no resolution. Very frustrating & it seems super shady closing all the posts about it.

Thanks for creating the tickets! I’ve had a limited number of crashes compared to some of you here, but none would be best 🙂

The crashes and resyncs in multiplayer were why I shelved the game after only 30 hours. It desperately needs addressing. It feels bad to be seeing all of the DLC news and previews being pushed at us when I can't even reliably enjoy a playthrough

I've completed three play throughs on the PS5 and in all 3 the modern area crashes every 4-5 turns. Also every time the end event is triggered. Fortunately the game reloads fast and the autosave feature is a godsend but there is no way a game should perform like this that is supposed to be optimized for console at launch. Have noticed since the patch that on the turn the crash occurs there will be multiple blacked out hexes where the tiles haven't loaded in properly.

Yep, now you can tell the crash is coming, the hexes start to black/blink out, then it’s only a few seconds later & crash.

The game was super unstable and crashed every hour (usually way more than that) once you left the Antiquity Age before the patch, but since the latest patch it's literally broken and impossible to finish a full game now. I had a game on the go where I was less than 10 turns away from the Modern age starting when I started to get the game-breaking crash while the AI players turn was processing. I reloaded the game a dozen times, even starting from a further back autosave to see if it was something I'd done on the turn preceding the crash that was causing it, but it still kept happening on the exact same turn.

Okay, fine, wrote that one off since I hadn't had a full on game breaking bug like that before. Started up a brand new game as Ada Lovelace, looking forward to playing Britain. Well, I made it into the Modern age this time around but then out of nowhere, not even 20% into the age progress, the same game breaking crash started happening again. I was so gutted because I'd invested all that time into this save file for it to amount to nothing, just like the previous one. I didn't even bother trying to reload from an older autosave this time around because I knew it would be pointless. I haven't touched the game for a couple days now because until they release a new update to fix the game and make it playable again, there's no point investing any time or energy into it. It's like watching a movie that just abruptly ends 30 minutes before the credits are meant to roll.

I'm really hoping the devs acknowledge and fix this problem ASAP because the game isn't even a month old and is already unplayable on PS5. At the very least, they should roll back to the previous version of the game that was at least stable enough to get through an entire campaign, albeit with near constant crashes in the late Exploration and all throughout the Modern age.
